Swatch From Pure Nail Lacquers - Virtuous

Hi Everyone!

I keep telling myself, my nails will grow eventually, and they've grown out quite a bit since I decided to go all natural, about 1/2 way up the nailbed.  I want to focus on natural nail care and maintenance.  Have I had thoughts of going back to pretty acrylics??  Oh yea, for sure, but I made the commitment and am moving forward. :)

For the last week or so, we've been featuring polishes from the fabulous Pure Nail Lacquer line.  Today I decided to use Virtuous.  This is a creamy sheer baby pastel pink.  I can so see this being paired in a reverse french mani or used as a base for a bold/pastel design.  It's a semi sheer/opaque look in two coats which is what I used in the pictures below and I paired it up with one coat of Krafty Gurl's Pink Palooza which is one of our "confetti" type glitters in hot pink black and white. (the bold/pastel look)  What do you all think?

Fall Collection Pre-Sale!

We are so excited!  Our Fall Collection Pre-Sale starts THIS Friday 7/19 and will run till
Friday 8/2.  All orders will ship 8/9.  This collection will be available for $22.00 and will feature 4 polishes.

Rustic - This polish has a beautiful rustic quality to it.  Red matte, red holo, copper, chocolate brown and bronze glitters in a clear base.  This beauty will compliment any autumn inspired mani.

Patina - Coppery, teals, and purples in a clear base make up this one.  Great with a neutral base color or paired as I have in the pic below with mint green.

City View - Night lights, city views, silhouettes of skyscrapers in the horizon.  That's what this reminds me of.  Gorgeous mattes in black, yellow gold, teal, purple, hot pink, with touches of various colored holographic glitters in a clear base.

Golden Sands - Sand, Gold, Chocolate and Copper metallic glitters in a clear base make up this glitter bomb.  This one is so versatile for both fall or any time of the year.

You can get these or any all our other glitter polishes at www.kraftygurldesigns.com or through our Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/kraftygurldesigns .

Meet "Classy Camo"

I had hoped to get this one out before Memorial Day, but as a homeschooling Mom the end of the school year can be super busy and just downright nutso!  This definitely was inspired by the many Heroes in my life.  My Dad, uncles, cousin, all my brother in laws, 2 of my sister in laws are all veterans of the military.  There's nothing plain about this one though, it's jam packed with miss green, light green, chartreuse, golden sand and bronze hex glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes.  Ladies this ones a sparkler!!

Meet "Sea Glass"

I just can't seem to capture all the facets in this glitter.  It's such a complex mix.  I used various sized hex  and square in aqua, mint, lime, pastel blue and green and for that glass effect a touch of iridescent glitters.  I am so in love with this one.  It was inspired from my recent day trip to the Gulf beachside here in Florida.  Just goes to show, all encounters and every part of your life can be an inspiration for creativity.   Ill have this up on the Etsy shop soon.  Stay tuned for the next one :)

I'm Back!

Well, it's been what it seems like forever since I've been back using the blog.  It's been an adventurous year filled with ups and downs.  But as the song goes... "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" right?!

Anyhoos..... January 2013 I decided I needed a new adventure in my life, so when I was in one of my deep thought sessions with myself, I felt I needed to go back to what I enjoyed doing most.  In 1995, I went to beauty school to become a Nail Technician.  I worked in a local salon for quite a while and then life got busy and complicated and I needed something a bit more stable in my life and pursued other income avenues.  It wasn't surprising to many that when I decided to embark on this new journey it would involve nail art.  I've always enjoyed it and being a crafty person at heart, it is another creative outlet for me.  Thus the Krafty Gurl Nail Dazzle glitter polish line was born.  I'm loving interacting with bloggers, self proclaimed nail polish addicts and women all over the world who have a love of nail lacquer.

The intention of this blog is to become the center point, joining all my other social media resources together.  I'll be posting here first, before I post anywhere else.  So stay tuned for some great contests, giveaways, debut products, reviews and new projects.

Thank you for your support and encouragement!
